Towards a Methods Commons

With support from the SSHRC ITST program we ran a retreat at Kramer Pond Lodge to explore methods for literary, historical and linguistic computing. The retreat focused on developing “recipes” for achieving research tasks using text tools. The goal of the project is to develop a social web site for the sharing of methods, recipes and examples.

The participants included representatives from different disciplines, leaders of text tool projects and people experienced with teaching text analysis and corpus linguistics.
