Transforming Historical Data Collaboratory

Bringing together a number of projects in the quantitative social sciences and computing, the Transforming Historical Data Collaboratory is a team of historians interested in:

  • Digitization and study of census data and other records of everyday life
  • Connecting census data to digital library holdings

Projects

  • ALSIP: Project leader Peter Baskerville, with Sarah Carter and Sean Gouglas have launched the Last Best West: The Alberta Land Settlement Infrastructure Project (ALSIP), a multi-year venture funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation.
